This morning I woke to nature calling – no, not THAT nature – nature outside. A little cardinal was singing his little brains out right outside my window. And as I lay in bed and listened to this little bird’s song. I wondered what his song meant. It was the same refrain over and over again.
Of course, once fully awake, my imagination took over and I laid down some lyrics down for this little bird’s song. Here is a few in few different genres in the music world.
The Broadway version: “Oh what a beautiful morning. Oh, what a beautiful day. How can you can spend time just sleeping? When everything’s going your way!”
The Country Western version: “Where’s my wife? Where’s my wife? She out of the nest, and I’m doing my best, but I can’t rest — I hate being alone.”
The Beatle’s version: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, with a bed like that you know you can’t be sad.”
The hip-hop version: Yeah, yo, the sun is up, and it’s time to go. Want to sleep, but Mom says, hell no!”
The Beach Boy’s version: “Oh Barbara Ann, take my hand. You got me rockin’ and a-rollin,’ I’m out here singing’ Barbara ann ba ba, Ba ba-barbara ann.”
